The Story of Cobra Strike Productions LLC: A Journey from Trauma to Growth
Cobra Strike Productions LLC was born out of the crucible of war and the transformative power of healing. Founded by Jeremy “Rusty” Freeman, a disabled veteran and author, the company is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the journey from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) to Post-Traumatic Growth (PTG). Its mission is deeply personal and rooted in the harrowing experiences of Operation Iraqi Freedom, where Rusty served as the Battalion Paralegal Specialist for Task Force 95 Military Police.
In 2008, stationed at FOB Rustamiyah in Sadr City, Iraq, Jem and his team endured relentless rocket and mortar attacks that punctuated their daily lives. Beyond the base, Sadr City was riddled with IEDs, posing constant threats to the soldiers’ lives. Despite these challenges, Jem worked diligently in the S1 shop, a critical hub for the battalion's administrative operations. The shop was named the moniker "Cobra Strike,”bu the NCOIC, symbolizing the sharp, decisive action required to survive and succeed in such a volatile environment. This name became a source of empowerment and camaraderie, a beacon of strength amidst the chaos.
After returning home, Jem faced the profound and often isolating impact of PTSD. The road to recovery was neither quick nor easy, but it was transformative. Through therapy, education, and creative expression, Jem discovered PTG—the ability to leverage adversity to foster resilience, find purpose, and contribute meaningfully to the world. Out of this profound personal growth, Cobra Strike Productions was founded as a platform to inspire others facing similar struggles.
Cobra Strike Productions LLC represents more than a business; it is a beacon of hope and a vehicle for healing. Dedicated to turning pain into purpose, the company is committed to raising awareness about PTSD and promoting the concept of PTG. Each book published and product sold is a testament to the belief that trauma does not have to define a person—it can serve as the foundation for new strength and creativity.
True to its mission, Cobra Strike Productions donates 10% of all sales to charity, reflecting Jem’s unwavering commitment to giving back. These donations support organizations that assist veterans, promote mental health, and strengthen communities, ensuring that the company’s work resonates far beyond its bookshelves.
Through the lens of Cobra Strike Productions, Jem channels their experiences into stories that uplift, educate, and connect with audiences. The company is a sanctuary for those seeking to transform their struggles into growth, proving that even in the aftermath of war and hardship, a new life full of meaning and purpose can emerge.
With Cobra Strike Productions, Jem Freeman has created not just a business, but a legacy of resilience and compassion, demonstrating that the journey from PTSD to PTG is not only possible but can also inspire countless others to embark on their own paths of healing and transformation.
